Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring for an Unarmed Security Officer in University Park, IL. You will protect client sites, perform routine patrols, and provide excellent service to staff and visitors. A valid driver’s license is required and you must pass a background check and drug screen as part of employment.

This full-time role includes day-evening shifts and a focus on safety, deterring incidents, and ensuring compliant access control within a fast-paced tech/media environment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen in accordance with laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors at a technology, media, and telecom location.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report irregularities to site staff.
• Respond calmly to incidents and alarms following site protocols.
• Document patrols and incidents accurately in line with site requirements.
