Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed) in Bronx, NY. You will patrol facilities, deter unauthorized access, respond to alarms, and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe, professional environment.

The role emphasizes on-site presence, incident reporting, and collaboration with a courteous team. Applicants must meet minimum experience and age requirements and may need licenses and background checks where required.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and personnel by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of distribution facilities, loading areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeters to deter incidents.
• Monitor access by verifying credentials and observing vehicle traffic.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations and document activities per site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrols, and security activities.
