The role requires a NYS Security Guard License, at least one year of security experience, and a high school diploma. Schedule is Mon-Fri with a pay rate of $18.87 per hour, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at a government office location by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of office areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and direct individuals to appropriate areas.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrols, and unusual activity.
