Job summary

Doyle Security Services in East Hanover, NJ seeks a vigilant security officer to observe and report activities at designated client sites, perform periodic tours, and enforce site regulations to protect people and property.

The role requires standing most of the workday, working Monday to Wednesday 6:45am–4:15pm, and maintaining professionalism and integrity. Starting pay is USD 19.00 per hour, with benefits including medical, vision, dental, 401K and PTO.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid NJ SORA license.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English.
• Physically capable of performing the duties of the position.

Responsibilities

• Report irregularities and inform violators of policies.
• Secure premises by patrolling, monitor surveillance equipment, and inspect access points.
• Complete reports with observations, information, occurrences, and signatures.
• Perform tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.

Overview

Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities. Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises. Work requires the ability to stand for the majority of workday.

Schedule

Monday to wednesday 6:45am-4:15pm

Pay Range

Starting from USD $19.00/Hr.

Responsibilities

• Reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures.
• Securing premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
• Tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma / GED required
• Valid NJ SORA License
• Must be able to understand the English language and communicate effectively in both the verbal and written form
• Must be physically able to perform the tasks required by the position
