NeighborHealth Corporation (formerly East Boston Neighborhood Health Center) in Boston's Cradock Building seeks a licensed Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to deliver medical services to individuals and families. The APP diagnoses and manages acute and chronic illnesses, orders and interprets tests, and coordinates care with NP/PA/MD colleagues.

This full-time, on-site position emphasizes health promotion and preventive care in a community health setting, with privileges at Boston Medical Center

Qualifications

• MA License as NP/PA.
• Mandatory BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications as required.
• At least 1 year of relevant community health experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtains comprehensive and problem focused health history.
• Performs comprehensive physical examinations.
• Orders and interprets screening and diagnostic tests.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and diagnostic reasoning in clinical decisions.
• Communicates findings to patients.
• Initiates appropriate and timely consultations (NP, PA & MD).

Position Summary

Time Type: Full time Department: Family Medicine All Locations: 20 Maverick Square - Cradock Building Position Summary: The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a licensed independent practitioner who provides medical services to individuals, families and groups. An APP diagnoses and manages acute episodic and chronic illnesses while emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. Services may include ordering, conducting, supervising and interpreting diagnostic and laboratory tests, and prescription of pharmacologic agents and non pharmacologic therapies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Obtains comprehensive and problem focused health history
• Performs a comprehensive and problem focused physical exam
• Orders and interprets screening and diagnostic tests
• Demonstrates critical thinking and diagnostic reasoning skills in clinical decision making.
• Communicates with patients re: clinical findings
• Initiates appropriate and timely consultations (NP, PA & MD)

Qualifications and Requirements

• MA License as NP/PA
• BLS, ACLS, PALS Certification, as required by department
• 1 year relevant experience preferably in a community health setting
