Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Roving Patrol Driver in Roanoke, VA. You will perform unarmed patrols at utilities locations, maintain a visible presence, and ensure safety while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to lift 20 pounds, and a HS diploma. You’ll join a collaborative team and support site operations with accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to operate as part of a security team.
• Willingness to perform roving patrol duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at utility-related locations by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and support site operations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, documenting entries, incidents, and observations as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate site representatives and/or emergency services when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site personnel.
