Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Driving Patrol Security Officer in Roanoke, VA. You will perform routine vehicle and foot patrols, deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a strong, visible presence.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift 20+ pounds, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation and drug screen required by policy.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide security procedures and customer service at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and follow site protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity or maintenance concerns.
• Complete accurate activity logs and incident reports per site procedures.
