Job summary

Allied Universal in Sparks, NV is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Mobile Operations to protect clients across utilities and other sites. You will monitor access points, conduct patrols, maintain a visible presence, and respond professionally to incidents.

This full-time driving post offers $22.50 per hour, day shifts with early mornings, and benefits including health and retirement options. You will join a team that values agility, reliability, teamwork, and integrity.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• This is primarily a driving post.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or the public at a utility services location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, perimeter areas, and utility-related infrastructure to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate security-related logs and incident reports.
• Communicate observations, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership in a timely manner.
