Allied Universal in Sparks, NV is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for the Mobile Unit. You will provide unarmed security, monitor access points, patrol facilities, and deliver professional customer service to employees and visitors.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and a background check; a guard card/license is preferred. The role offers a part-time schedule with a fixed pay rate of $22.50 per hour and shifts that can vary by day.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience in a driving post is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• A background investigation will be conducted in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and utility customers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, service calls, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and other required documentation.
• Report observed hazards, equipment concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate personnel while supporting continuity of utility operations.
