Job summary

Bon Secours seeks a Protective Services Officer to support safe hospital operations. The role covers escorts, patrols, and incident response to protect patients, visitors and staff.

You will enforce policies, monitor CCTV, and document all activities accurately for investigations and safety audits. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and basic training in life support or security procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.
• Valid driver's license; BLS certification within 6 months.
• 1–2 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Protect patients, visitors and employees with escorts and patrols.
• Deter crime by routine patrols of hospital grounds and parking areas.
• Enforce policies including parking, visitation, drugs and tobacco use.
• Monitor CCTV and respond to incidents; document actions in logs and reports.
• Intervene in confrontations and coordinate with clinical teams and police.
