Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Protective Services Officer (Unarmed) at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY. You will protect patients, visitors and staff, patrol grounds, and enforce hospital policies while coordinating with clinical teams and law enforcement when needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and BLS certification within 6 months of hire. Experience in security or law enforcement is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• BLS Basic Life Support required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients, visitors and staff and patrol grounds.
• Respond to safety and security incidents.
• Enforce hospital policies and parking rules.
• Monitor CCTV and coordinate with clinical teams.
• Document daily logs and incident reports.
• Intervene in confrontations when needed.
