Job summary

Qualifications

• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and guests while carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following site-specific protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, walkways, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and assist with directing visitors, reporting access-control concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to supervision and site contacts.
