Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time patrol readiness position in Nashville, TN. You will provide customer service, deter incidents through visible patrols, and respond to security concerns at a government location.

Responsibilities include monitoring access, documenting incidents, and coordinating with emergency responders. A background in law enforcement or security and a high school diploma are required, with background checks and drug screening as applicable.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security experience, or a college degree.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and government facility personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and maintain logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and emergency responders while supporting a welcoming government location.
