Altais is seeking a UM Coordinator for a 6-month casual contract to support Ambulatory and Concurrent Care, Network Management, Quality Improvement and Practice Success teams.

You will manage incoming authorizations, verify eligibility, and document in Tapestry/OnBase, while ensuring HIPAA compliance and professional communication with provider offices and internal customers. Knowledge of medical terminology and CPT/HCPCS coding is required.

Competenze

• High school diploma is required.
• 2–3 years of UM experience, medical records, medical billing, or medical office experience.
• 2–3 years of Microsoft Office programs experience required.
• Certificate or equivalent experience in medical terminology, CPT, HCPCS, and ICD coding.

Mansioni

• Handle all incoming authorizations via TapestryLink or OnBase, with verification and data entry as needed.
• Serve as the primary contact for internal and external customers seeking authorization information or assistance.
• Review authorization requests per established review designations.
• Prepare denial letters under professional staff supervision and communicate technical information accurately.
• Contact provider offices by phone for missing documentation and record information in Tapestry.
• Cross-train with all UM Coordinators to ensure coverage and HIPAA compliance.
