Altais in California seeks a UM Coordinator for a casual, six‑month contract to support ambulatory and concurrent care teams. You will drive efficient authorization processes, verify patient eligibility, and advocate for timely access to care with provider offices and internal stakeholders.

You will work to ensure confidentiality, navigate insurance requirements, and maintain high standards of patient‑centered service while collaborating across teams.

Competenze

• Two years previous UM experience, medical records, medical billing, or medical office experience.
• 2-3 years Microsoft Office programs experience required.
• Certificate or equivalent experience in medical terminology, CPT, HCPCS, and ICD coding required.

Mansioni

• Own incoming authorizations via Tapestry Link portal or OnBase.
• Determine eligibility or benefit verification and data entry into Tapestry.
• Serve as primary contact for information requests from internal and external customers.
• Review authorization requests per established level of review designation.
• Prepare denial letters under supervision and coordinate with professional staff.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and cross-train with all UM Coordinators.
