Job summary

Fairfax Radiology Centers, LLC (FRC) is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for our Reston-Herndon Center. This full-time role features four 10-hour shifts Tue–Fri with Mondays off, providing a long weekend and no evenings, weekends, or major holidays.

Join a leading Northern Virginia radiology team delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. Experience in general ultrasound is preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• RDMS certification required upon hire.
• 1+ year of general ultrasound experience preferred.
• New graduates in Diagnostic Medical Sonography are welcome to apply.
• Current BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality general ultrasound examinations (OB 1st trimester, GYN, Abdominal, Small Parts).
• Breast ultrasound experience is a plus, but not required.
• Acquire and evaluate high-quality images for accuracy and diagnosis.
• Communicate findings with radiologists clearly and promptly.
• Provide patient-centered care with professionalism and empathy.

In this role, you are the steady, reassuring presence for patients when they need it most. Your professionalism, empathy, and sonography expertise help ensure every patient feels supported and cared for throughout their visit.

About The Role

This is a full‑time position with a schedule designed to support work‑life balance:

• Tuesday - Friday | Four 10-hour shifts
• Enjoy every Monday off for a three-day weekend
• No weekends, evenings, major holidays, or call
• Free on-site parking available

What You'll Do

• Perform high‑quality general ultrasound examinations, including OB (1st trimester), GYN, Abdominal, Small Parts
• Breast ultrasound experience is a plus, but not required
• Consistently acquire and evaluate high‑quality images for diagnostic accuracy
• Communicate effectively with radiologists regarding exam findings
• Deliver compassionate, patient‑centered care with professionalism and empathy

What You'll Bring

Compensation & Growth

Based on your qualifications and experience, the compensation range for this position is:

$39.95 - $54.05 per hour
