Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist PRN to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures across a range of body parts and exams. You will document patient information, complete required forms, and ensure exam rooms are stocked between patients.

Candidates should have graduated from an accredited Sonography program, hold ARDMS certification (or equivalent), and maintain BLS. A SC license is required for SC locations, with 1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Sonography.
• ARDMS certification from the ARDMS (or equivalent) required.
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS Health Care Provider required.
• Registry in Sonography.
• State License required for South Carolina only.
• Minimum of 1 year of Sonographer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic procedures on all parts of the body, plus common exams listed.
• Complete patient history form, document exam sheet, check labs, and complete consent forms.
• Restock exam rooms with required supplies between patients.

Job Summary And Qualifications

You will perform diagnostic procedures on all parts of the body as well as the following most common exams (this list is not all inclusive):

• Limited OB
• Pelvic – trans-abdominal and trans‑vaginal
• Head/Neck‑thyroid, lymph nodes, carotid
• Invasive procedures – Biopsies, thoracentesis and paracentesis
• Abdominal
• Renals
• Small Parts

You will complete the patient’s history form, document the technologist exam sheet, and check labs as needed, completing consent forms when necessary, and re‑stocking exam rooms with required supplies in between patients.

What qualifications you will need

Graduate of an accredited school of Sonography

• Graduate of an accredited school of Sonography
• Sonography certification from the ARDMS (or equivalent) required
• A current American Heart Association (AHA) or America Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required
• Registry in Sonography
• State License required for South Carolina only.
• Minimum of 1 year of Sonographer experience is highly preferred
