Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality sonography examinations with clinical judgment and patient safety at the forefront. You will review findings, maintain imaging records, assist with procedures, and collaborate with the care team to deliver compassionate, accurate imaging services.

The role requires graduate of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program, ARDMS/ARRT certification or eligibility, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• 1–3 years of experience preferred; new graduates considered.
• Must be ARDMS or ARRT registered or registry eligible; CPR/BLS cert within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment and adhere to safety protocols.
• Ensure patient safety during sonography examinations.
• Review patient history and prepare preliminary findings and reports.
• Operate radiology systems and archive images for physician review.
• Maintain infection control and QA standards in the ultrasound facility.
• Assist radiologists and other providers with procedures as needed.
• Supervise allied health students and hospital staff as assigned.
