Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to prepare exam rooms, conduct ultrasound exams, and ensure patient safety. You will review patient history, maintain equipment, and assist with records and image sharing.

The role includes QA review, collaboration with radiologists, and mentoring students and residents. The position requires an accredited education in sonography, ARDMS/ARRT certification eligibility, and CPR/BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience preferred; new graduates considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment per safety and infection control policies.
• Review patient history and prep for exam.
• Assist with medical record/image sharing as necessary.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment and PACS/XRIS as required.
• Provide patient services within Scope of Practice and Clinical Standards.
• Assist radiologist with procedures as needed.
• Supervise and mentor sonography students and residents.
