Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for ultrasound examinations by confirming orders, verifying identities, and obtaining histories to ensure appropriateness of examinations.
• Performs ultrasound examinations on all patient age groups and maintains competency.
• Adheres to departmental policies, procedures, standards, and protocols to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintains a safe environment and disinfects equipment and probes according to standards.
• Interacts with students and supports ultrasound cross-training programs.
• Monitors and maintains inventory of supplies to ensure uninterrupted services.
• Records patient information and procedural data for accurate billing and department operations.
• Participates in performance improvement activities for the Ultrasound department.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
