Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking an Ultrasonographer to prepare patients and perform routine ultrasound procedures under a Radiologist's supervision. You will produce high-quality images, present them with comparisons, and assist with interpretation.

The role requires completion of an accredited program or cross-training, BLS, and ARDMS/ARRT credentials with experience preferred. Work is on-site with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited program in ultrasound or MWHC/MIF cross-training program.
• AHA BLS provider required.
• ARDMS (AB or OB/GYN or VT) or ARRT (S) required at time of hire; registry due within the stated timeframe.
• Three years relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for ultrasound examinations by confirming orders and histories.
• Performs ultrasound examinations on all patient ages and conditions under supervision.
• Maintains equipment, infection control, and safety standards in the department.
• Documents procedures and assists with timely billing and reporting.
