Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. This per diem/PRN role requires completing an accredited ultrasound program with clinical training and current RDMS/RT registrations or eligibility.

A sign-on bonus of $1,000 is offered, with per diem levels and hour differentials based on experience. Responsibilities include performing ultrasound scans, monitoring patient status, and assisting in training staff and students.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have completed an accredited ultrasound program with clinical training.
• All sonographers must be certified and registered or registry-eligible with appropriate certs.
• CPR (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound scans to assist physicians in diagnosis.
• Monitor patient condition and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Train technologists and students as needed.

Hourly Pay Range:

$35.35 - $54.79 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• SIGN-ON BONUS: $1,000

• Location: Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights, IL


• Per Diem/PRN


• Per Diem Options (within a 6-week period): Level 1 (32-72 hours), Level 2 (73-110 hours), Level 3 (111-144 hours)


• Per Diem Level Differentials: Level 1 additional $4.00 per hour, Level 2 additional $5.00 per hour, Level 3 additional $6.00 per hour


• Hours: Varies to meet the needs of the department


• Rotating weekends and will work one holiday per year

What you will do:

Reporting to the Director of Radiology/Imaging with accountability to the team facilitator and the team, performs ultrasound scans on patients in order to assist physicians in the diagnosis of medical disorders. Monitors patient's condition; maintains area equipment and supplies; assists in training technologists and students.

What you will need:

• The level of knowledge normally obtained through an accredited Ultrasound program including clinical training.


• All sonographers must be certified and currently registered as a RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer), RT(S), RT (VS) (American Registry of Radiologic Technology-Sonography/Vascular Sonography), RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) or RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist) or registry eligible. If registry eligible, must obtain certification within 24 months of graduation from ultrasound program.


• Knowledge of and/or experience in the correct use of body mechanics.


• Current CPR(BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
