Job summary

Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for Per Diem/PRN coverage. The role offers a sign-on bonus of $1,000 and an hourly pay range of $36.42–$56.45, with per-diem levels adding $4.00–$5.00 per hour on top of base pay.

Responsibilities include performing ultrasound scans to aid physicians' diagnoses, monitoring patient condition, and assisting in training staff. Certification and CPR (BLS) are required.

Qualifications

• The level of knowledge normally obtained through an accredited Ultrasound program including clinical training.
• All sonographers must be certified and currently registered as a RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer), RT(S), RT (VS) (American Registry of Radiologic Technology-Sonography/Vascular Sonography), RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) or RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist) or registry eligible.
• If registry eligible, must obtain certification within 24 months of graduation from ultrasound program.
• Knowledge of and/or experience in the correct use of body mechanics.
• Current CPR(BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Hourly Pay Range: $36.42 - $56.45 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights: SIGN-ON BONUS: $1,000 Position: Ultrasound Technologist Location: Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights, IL Per Diem/PRN Per Diem Options (within a 6-week period): Level 1 (32-72 hours), Level 2 (73-110 hours) Per Diem Level Differentials: Level 1 additional $4.00 per hour, Level 2 additional $5.00 per hour Hours: Varies to meet the needs of the department Rotating weekends and will work one holiday per year

What You Will Do

• Reporting to the Director of Radiology/Imaging with accountability to the team facilitator and the team, performs ultrasound scans on patients in order to assist physicians in the diagnosis of medical disorders.
