Job summary

Endeavor Health in Skokie Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join our imaging team. This PRN/Registry role offers flexible hours, including PMs, midnights and weekends, with an hourly pay range of $30.00–$46.50 depending on expertise.

You will prepare patients, perform radiographic exams, review images for optimum quality, and submit data to RIS promptly. Education required: certificate or associate degree in radiology; CPR; ARRT certification within 2 years; IEMA licensing; prior

• CPR certification required. ARRT certification required within 2 years of employment.
• IEMA licensing required.
• Previous radiology experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams: record history, explain procedures, position patients, ensure comfort.
• Perform radiographic exams.
• Review radiographs to ensure optimum quality.
• Submit information and images to RIS in a timely manner.
• Work independently and operate all equipment with minimal assistance.
• Check supplies and keep the department clean.
• Assist in printing films and retrieval of reports.
• May work at other NorthShore off-site facilities when needed.
• Report environmental/equipment problems to the appropriate personnel.

Hourly Pay Range: $30.00 - $46.50 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Hours: As needed/PMs - Midnights and Weekends
• Per Diem Commitment Level: Per Diem Level 1: 32-72 hrs. or Per Diem Level 2: 73-110 hrs. or Per Diem Level 3: 111-144 hrs./ per 6-week schedule
• Required Travel: No

What you will do

• Prepare patients for exam: obtain and record history, explain procedures, position patients and ensure their comfort
• Perform radiographic exams
• Review radiographs to ensure optimum quality
• Complete and submit information and images to RIS in a timely manner
• Consistently works independently and operates all equipment with minimal assistance to performance procedures
• Check supplies/stocks room and maintains general cleanliness in department
• Assists in printing films and retrieval of reports
• May be required to work at other NorthShore off-site facilities to accommodate internal/external customers past schedules hours
• Reports environmental/equipment problems to appropriate resource personnel

What you will need

• Education: Certificate of completion or Associate’s degree from an accredited radiology program
• Certification: CPR certification required. ARRT required within 2 year of employment
• License: IEMA licensing required
• Experience: Previous radiology experience preferred
• Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills required
