Endeavor Health's Swedish Hospital in Chicago seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound and vascular exams, assist radiologists, and manage room and equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma, completion of an ultrasound program, ARDMS (RCS) certification and AHA BLS. The position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. Hours are Mon-Fri 12pm-8:30pm with 40 hours/week.

• High School diploma and completion of an ultrasound program.
• RCS certification per ARDMS and BLS certification are required.
• Ability to operate ultrasound and vascular equipment and position patients safely.

Responsabilités

• Performs ultrasound exams.
• Performs vascular exams.
• Related paperwork and explanation of exams.
• Assists radiologist/physician with biopsies and specialized exams.
• Stocking of linens and supplies; cleans and maintains room/equipment.
• Understands the utilization of PACS and promotes timely workflow.
• Adheres to OSHA and Infection Control policies.
• Assists with clerical duties (phone, scheduling, computer entry).

Hourly Pay Range

$36.42 - $56.45 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

What you will do

• Performs ultrasound exams.
• Performs vascular exams.
• Related paperwork.
• Explanation of exams.
• Assists radiologist/physician with all biopsies, specialized ultrasound and vascular exams.
• Stocking of linens and supplies as needed.
• Cleans and maintains room/equipment.
• Understands the utilization of PACS.
• Promotes timely workflow.
• Adheres to all OSHA and Infection Control policies.
• The duties listed may not be all inclusive.
• Assists in the transporting of acutely ill patients as needed.
• Assists with clerical duties (phone, scheduling, computer entry, etc.).
• Helps insure safe and clean working environment for patients and co-workers.

What you will need

• Education: High School Required, Completion of Ultrasound program
• Certification: Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Required, AHA BLS
• Skills: Must have the ability to handle ultrasound and vascular equipment and properly position patients. Must use good judgment in determining alternate scanning methods when standard imaging is impossible. Must have the ability to practice good patient care without constant supervision.
