Job summary

Banner Health in Tucson, AZ seeks an Acute Ultrasound Technologist I to perform high-quality ultrasound exams and support physicians in diagnosis and monitoring. You will educate patients, operate ultrasound equipment, and ensure a safe, efficient imaging environment.

The role requires completion of an approved ultrasound program, national certification, and BLS. Experience ranges from 0–3 years, with a schedule Monday–Friday daytime shift and on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• National certification in one area of ultrasound from ARDMS/CCI/ARRT.
• BLS certification required.
• Completion of an approved Ultrasound program.
• 0–3 years of clinical ultrasound experience.
• Effective communication skills and ability to analyze data.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound exams by following ordering providers’ instructions and established protocols.
• Educate patients about procedures and provide clear explanations.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain ultrasound equipment; ensure safety and ready status of imaging areas.
• Perform invasive/interventional procedures as applicable per policy and training.
• Support department workflow, triage patients, and maintain inventory to ensure uninterrupted service.
