Banner Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist II for the Ultrasound - Hosp unit in Tucson, AZ. The role involves independently performing advanced diagnostic exams and ultrasound-guided procedures across all patient ages, using dual certifications to support radiologist interpretation.

You will mentor newer staff, collaborate with the care team, and uphold documentation, equipment quality control, and professional ethics.

Qualifications

• Requires national certification in two areas of specialty from ARDMS/CCI or ARRT.
• BLS certification required.
• Clinical knowledge typically achieved with 3-5 years of experience.
• Must demonstrate effective communication, human relations skills, ability to analyze data and solve problems.

Responsabilités

• Performs ultrasound exams and procedures per orders with independent judgment.
• Educates patients and families about procedures.
• Serves as a subject matter expert and participates in quality improvement.
• Performs quality control checks on images and equipment.
• Documents findings clearly and timely; ensures high-quality images.
• Precepts and provides guidance to less experienced technologists.
