Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to operate ultrasound equipment, capture diagnostic images, and assist in patient assessment. The role requires accurate data recording and coordination with physicians to ensure quality imaging.

Candidates should be graduates of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, hold ARDMS/ARRT eligibility, and maintain BLS certification.

Qualifications

  • Certification by ARDMS or ARRT(S) eligible; must obtain certification within 12 months.
  • Experience in performing ultrasound diagnostic procedures preferred.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • Current BLS is required (AHA or Red Cross equivalent).
  • 1 year of modality-specific work experience preferred.

Job Description
  • Operates ultrasonic equipment to produce images of the body's organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes.
  • Performs sonographic examinations to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data.
  • Records test results, inspects and maintains equipment, and orders supplies when needed.
  • Reviews physician requisition orders and instructions concerning patient preparation for ultrasound procedure.
  • Job requires the ability to perform portable exams in a variety of settings.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Sonography (ARRT S).
  • Experience in performing ultrasound diagnostic procedures (preferred).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • Work Experience: 1 year of modality specific experience preferred.
  • Registration/Certification: Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or ARRT(S) eligible, must obtain certification within 12 months.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
