Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is seeking a qualified Multi-modality Radiology Technologist to perform imaging procedures across two or more modalities. You will ensure high-quality images, explain procedures to patients, and maintain equipment performance.

A 40-hour schedule and a $15,000 sign-on bonus accompany this role. Requirements include ARRT registration, SC licensure, and 2+ years of multi-modality experience, with BLS current at hire.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • 2+ years of multi-modality work experience.
  • ARRT registration or obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Licensure from SC Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
  • Current BLS certification required; Advance Modality Registration within 1 year of hire.

  • Schedule and perform complex specialized tasks for multi-modality exams in a timely manner.
  • Maintain production and quality of images by following established standards and procedures.
  • Perform equipment quality checks and troubleshoot malfunctions independently.

Technologists must be able to effectively explain the procedures to the patient and be sure they are competent in the procedure being performed. Technologists must produce images for the interpretation, and or request of, a licensed practitioner. Additional Job Description

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.

Experience: 2+ years of multi-modality work experience.

Credentials: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), If not registered must obtain the registry within 6 months of hire.

Licensure: Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Must obtain Advance Modality Registration within 1 year of hire date.
