Job Description Summary Operates specialized cardiovascular ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images of the heart and great vessels for diagnostic purposes. Performs comprehensive cardiac sonography examinations, including transthoracic echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, and related cardiac imaging studies, to assess cardiac structure, function, hemodynamics, and pathology. Accurately acquires, evaluates, and records critical anatomical and physiological data for physician interpretation while ensuring quality patient care, safety, and compliance with departmental and accreditation standards.

Graduation from a school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Work Experience 0-2 years. To be eligible for a Sonographer II, candidate must have at least 1 year of experience as a cardiac echo sonographer.
Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
