Job summary

Akumin is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for our Zephyrhills, FL imaging center. This part-time position performs ultrasound imaging procedures and provides the Radiologist with accurate clinical history to support imaging interpretation.

The role requires 1-2 years of ultrasound experience, ARDMS/ARRT(S) certification, CPR, and flexibility to work at multiple locations. We offer competitive pay, flexible scheduling, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• ARDMS or ARRT(S) required.
• State license, if applicable.
• Valid state driver’s license, as applicable.
• 1-2 years experience in Ultrasound required.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
• Local travel may be required.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Performing all patient ultrasound imaging procedures.
• Gathers patient history data and completes worksheets with exam findings for Radiologist.
• General upkeep and housekeeping of exam rooms.
• Assists with imaging center workflow by helping with general duties as deemed necessary.
