Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality sonography with clinical judgment, ensuring patient safety and accurate imaging. The role includes reviewing findings, maintaining equipment and records, and assisting with procedures while collaborating with the healthcare team.

The candidate should have ARDMS/ARRT registration or registry eligibility and 1–3 years of experience preferred; new graduates will be considered. A comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• 1–3 years of experience preferred.
• ARDMS or ARRT sonography registered or registry eligible; registry-eligible partners must register within 12 months of hire; second specialty within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment adhering to infection control and patient safety protocols.
• Ensure patient safety during the exam and assist with positioning for optimal imaging.
• Review patient history and prep notes to identify contraindications and limitations.
• Assist with medical record/image sharing and documentation.
• Capture accurate images and provide preliminary findings and reports.
• Operate RIS/PACS and document pertinent patient information; collaborate with radiologists and staff.
