Job summary

CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound/sonography procedures under physician supervision, following standards of care and maintaining patient welfare.

Requirements include graduation from an approved school of medical sonography, ARDMS/ARRT certification, and at least one year of ultrasound experience or completion of the education requirement; certification verification within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate or graduation eligible from an approved school of medical sonography.
• One year dedicated ultrasound experience OR no experience with education requirements fulfilled.
• Proof of passing ARDMS/ARRT examination and verification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound/sonography procedures under physician supervision following established standards of care.
• Uses knowledge of anatomy and physiology to produce optimum imaging while prioritizing patient welfare.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and comfort throughout the procedure.
