Job summary

CoxHealth in Springfield, MO is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to independently perform ultrasound procedures and patient care with judgment and precision, under physician direction.

The role requires expertise in diagnostic ultrasound and the ability to adjust technical factors to obtain optimum results. Education must come from an approved medical sonography program, and ARDMS/ARRT certification must be obtained within 3 months of hire. Day shift, 24 hours weekly, with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate or graduation eligible from an approved school of medical sonography.
• Proof of passing ARDMS or ARRT examination is required.
• Verification of RT(S) or ARDMS credentials within 3 months of hire.
• Experience: One year of ultrasound experience OR no experience with education; Preferred: two years of imaging experience.
• Demonstrated ability to operate ultrasound equipment and manipulate technical factors to optimize images.

Responsibilities

• Independently, or under the direction of a physician, perform ultrasound procedures and patient care.
• Utilize prescribed ultrasound techniques for diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Modify technical factors to produce optimum results.
