Qualifications

• Diploma from an Ultrasound Technologist program.
• SPI exam passage or registry readiness.
• Current ARDMS certifications or registry eligible.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in accordance with department policy and regulatory requirements.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures when needed.
• Understand methods to generate ultrasound data and operation of ultrasound equipment.
• Monitor patient well-being during exams and respond to discomfort or medical problems.
• Safeguard patient property and Health Information; safeguard medications on site.
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities.
• Interact diplomatically with patients, families, and the public in a clinical setting.
