Job summary

Palmdale Regional Medical Center in Palmdale, CA seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic scans with high proficiency and adherence to hospital policies. You will promote quality care, patient safety, and continuous quality improvement within the imaging department.

The role requires knowledge of routine ultrasound procedures, proper protocol, and collaboration with radiologists to optimize exam quality while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of x-ray training preferred with radiologist supervision.
• Graduate of an ultrasound technology program; ARDMS eligible.
• Current BLS certification; CPI within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine diagnostic ultrasound exams at a skilled technical level.
• Follow department protocol and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Verify orders, consent, and obtain thorough patient history.
• Coordinate with radiologists to minimize repeats and exposure.
• Document patient education and assist with charting and data transfer.
