Job summary

Great River Health seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment and produce quality images for physicians. You will perform General Abdominal, Vascular Doppler, OB/GYN, and small parts exams, document history, and ensure patient comfort.

Responsibilities include selecting settings, preparing patients, observing image quality, and using PACS imaging systems. Iowa-based role with call rotation and potential weekend/holiday shifts; ARDMS/ARRT credentials preferred and

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Radiologic Technology or Ultrasound.
• ARDMS preferred; ARRT acceptable.
• 1-3 years healthcare experience preferred.
• BLS/First Aid required per American Heart Association.
• Iowa mandatory reporters for child and dependent adult abuse.

Responsibilities

• Provide sonogram and summary of findings to physician.
• Decide image scope based on findings and extend if needed.
• Use PACS imaging system.
• Adjust equipment/settings to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
• Prepare patient and obtain medical history.
• Maintain patient records and images.

Education

Associate’s Degree (AA) Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and/or Ultrasound program

American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography

1-3 years Health care experience

Basic Cardiac Life Support & First Aid - American Heart Association

Child Abuse Iowa Mandatory Reporter

Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter

Ultrasound Tech ARDMS or Radiology Technician ARRT credential
