The role requires ARRT certification, an associate degree in Radiologic Technology, BLS/First Aid, and Iowa licensure.

Qualifikationen

• AA degree from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• 1–3 years healthcare experience preferred.
• BLS & First Aid per American Heart Association on hire.
• Iowa Mandatory Reporter for Child Abuse on hire.
• Iowa Mandatory Reporter for Dependent Adult Abuse on hire.
• ARRT certification required.
• IV competency at WB campus.
• CT Board Certification preferred.
• Iowa Permit to Practice required.
• Weekend shifts and call rotation may be required.

Aufgaben

• Follow radiation safety measures to comply with government regulations.
• Operate CT equipment to produce diagnostic images.
• Explain exam to patient for cooperation, safety and comfort.
• Position patients accurately to image the required anatomy.
• Perform venipuncture following universal precautions.
• Administer iodinated contrast for diagnostic purposes.
• Obtain thorough patient history for radiologist.
• Review and post-process CT images per protocol for quality.
• Document, charge, and process all paperwork.
