Job summary

Mercy Health seeks an Ultrasound Technologist for St. Rita's Medical Center to perform ultrasound procedures and produce diagnostic images.

The role requires compassionate patient care, accurate documentation, and collaboration with Radiology leadership. Candidates should be ARDMS or ARRT registry eligible or certified, hold an ultrasound-related Associate degree, and have at least 1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient in direct patient care and ultrasound procedure execution.
• Ability to document sonographer impressions and relay to physician.
• Demonstrates knowledge of protecting patient comfort and safety during procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures and obtain diagnostic-quality images.
• Explain procedures to patients and obtain consent/history when applicable.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety during exams; monitor equipment and patient condition.
• Document findings and communicate results to physicians.
• Assist with education of students and orientation of new staff.
