Job summary

Mercy Home Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound procedures and produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation, while delivering compassionate direct patient care. The role emphasizes accuracy, patient prep, and timely communication.

The position requires an AMA-associated Ultrasound Associates degree and typically prefers RDMS/ARDMS/ARRT credentials or the ability to obtain them within two years. Experience with EPIC/EHR and PACS is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Ultrasound from AMA allied health program.
• RDMS/ARDMS/ARRT credential preferred or must obtain within 2 years.
• BLS certification preferred or required prior to direct patient care.
• 1 year ultrasound experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the quality, accuracy, and confidentiality of patient, lab, and procedural data.
• Knowledge of imaging workflows, procedures, and processes for ultrasound.
• Prepare procedures, provide instructions to patients, and document patient care.
• Document sonographer impressions and relay findings to the physician.
• Participate in performance improvement projects and educate new staff.
