Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati, OH seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound procedures and related techniques under Radiology leadership. The role emphasizes direct patient care, accuracy in imaging, and collaboration with physicians.

The candidate will use ultrasound modalities appropriate to anatomy, maintain clinical competency, participate in education and audits, and contribute to department goals while upholding Mercy Health values.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ultrasonography program and ARDMS/ARRT registry eligibility.
• Active ARDMS or ARRT registration (required).
• Advanced modality registration preferred or must obtain within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patient and ensures correct procedure and patient ID.
• Explains procedures and obtains consent when applicable.
• Maintains patient comfort, privacy, and safety during exams.
• Documents impressions and relays findings to the physician.
• Obtains images showing normal and pathological findings and records relevant data.
• Supports performance improvement and helps with audits.
• Participates in student education and staff orientation.
