Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with radiology standards. You will demonstrate technical proficiency, monitor patient safety, and provide clear explanations to patients and families.

The role requires knowledge of PACS workflows and excellent patient care, with attention to equipment maintenance and accurate documentation in PACS/RIS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or RDMS credential.
• ARRT/ARDMS/SDMS/CCI registration or equivalent certification desired.
• Knowledge of PACS and radiology workflows.
• Strong patient care and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex ultrasound examinations with quality and efficiency.
• Monitors patient vital signs and ensures safety during procedures.
• Communicates with patients and families to obtain history and consent.
• Maintains equipment and work areas in a clean, safe condition.
• Accurately documents procedures and inputs data into PACS/RIS.
