The role requires independent judgment, technical expertise, and strong patient safety focus to ensure accurate and reproducible results. The Ultrasound Technologist will verify orders, maintain equipment, and document procedures in the electronic health record, adhering to department protocols and safety

Qualifications

• Proficiency in ultrasound imaging techniques and equipment operation.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology relevant to diagnostic sonography.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate imaging and documentation.
• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions within scope of practice.
• Commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound procedures independently following department protocols.
• Verifies patient identification and appropriate orders prior to imaging.
• Documents imaging procedures and patient information in the EHR and PACS.
• Maintains safe, clean, and organized work environment and infection control compliance.
• Operates ultrasound equipment safely and maintains supplies.
