Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound examinations according to physician specifications and established protocols. The role involves independent judgment and may include call rotations.

In addition to technical proficiency, the candidate must handle confidential information ethically, maintain patient safety, and participate in training new staff. Excellent teamwork in a 24-hour department is required.

Qualifications

• CAHEA-approved program in diagnostic medical sonography with ARDMS eligibility or certification.
• 1 year clinical ultrasound experience as listed in the minimum qualifications.
• Ability to handle confidential patient information with professionalism and ethics.
• Capacity to work independently and collaborate with medical staff when needed.
• Knowledge of care for patients from neonates to geriatrics.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures following physician orders and established protocols.
• Identifies patients and provides instruction regarding ultrasound procedures.
• Reviews orders, offers technical support, and consults with radiologists.
• Delivers high-quality scans and communicates findings to radiologists.
• Maintains equipment operation, safety, and department cleanliness.
• Participates in department and hospital safety programs.
