Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a qualified breast ultrasound technologist to perform diagnostic and screening breast ultrasound exams in a clinical setting. You will ensure patient safety, follow physician specifications, and maintain equipment quality.

The role requires specialized certification (RDMS, RDMS-BR) or credentials in process, with flexibility for site rotations and adherence to imaging standards.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma or CAHEA-certified program in diagnostic medical sonography.
• Associate’s Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography required.
• RDMS and RDMS-BR credentials required or within hire period.
• BLS certification required, per department policy.

Responsibilities

• Produce quality breast ultrasound images according to protocols and radiologist guidance.
• Prepare patients, obtain history, explain procedures, and position appropriately.
• Verify patient identity, document results in EMR per protocol.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and assist with QC and safety standards.
• Comply with MSQA/ACR/FD A requirements and participate in ongoing education.
