Qualifications

• Technical School Diploma; accredited Radiography program
• Less than 1 year; completion of Radiology program
• Ability to handle medical and confidential information ethically
• Ability to recognize, analyze and solve problems in radiologic care
• Understand use of radiation producing equipment safely
• Knowledge of medical technology and terminology
• BLS certification (Pennsylvania) within 30 days
• RT – Registered Radiologic Technologist in PA upon hire

Responsibilities

• Produce diagnostic quality images and prepare images for radiologist interpretation
• Maintain radiation protection standards and proper exposure factors
• Ensure correct exam is ordered and attached to patient folder
• Manage supplies and equipment to meet patient care needs
• Document procedure details and imaging data for PACS
• Coordinate daily team workflow and scheduling of exams
• Verify orders include necessary signatures and codes
• Report equipment malfunctions and assist in training new staff
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
