Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited radiography program.
• Ability to handle medical/confidential information.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Produces images of diagnostic quality; processes and prepares images for interpretation by the radiologist.
• Provides radiation protection in accordance with safety standards; uses exposure factors, collimation, and distance with proper documentation.
• Ensures appropriate exam is ordered and attached to the correct patient folder.
• Captures and documents LMP, fluoro time, radiologist, number of images, history and CPT codes; maintains records.
• Coordinates daily work within the team and scheduling of exams.
• Ensures images are in PACS before study completion; verifies orders and missing info before treatment.
• Assists in education and training of staff and students; maintains cleanliness and order in the work area.
