Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to provide diagnostic radiologic imaging under physician direction, maintaining strict radiation safety and patient care standards.

The role involves producing quality images, ensuring proper documentation, coordinating with the radiology team, and assisting in training new staff. Weekend shift availability and PA RT certification are required.

Qualifications

• Technical School Diploma or equivalent in Radiologic technology.
• Completion of Radiologic program or equivalent (<1 year).
• Ability to handle medical and confidential information ethically.
• Able to recognize and solve problems related to imaging procedures.
• Knowledge of radiation safety and how to use radiology equipment safely.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and radiology workflows.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire; PA RT credential required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Produce diagnostic-quality images and prepare them for radiologist interpretation.
• Maintain radiation safety standards and proper exposure factors.
• Verify exam requests and attach to patient records.
• Ensure supplies/equipment meet patient care requirements.
• Document procedures, times, and radiologist notes; maintain PACS transfers.
• Coordinate daily tasks within the radiology team and exams schedule.
• Assist in training new staff and students; keep work area clean and organized.
