Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for Springfield Regional Medical Center. The role conducts ultrasound exams, communicates results to physicians, and ensures patient safety and comfort. Training includes EPIC EHR and PACS proficiency, with ARDMS/ARRT certification eligibility.

Experience of 1 year in ultrasound is preferred, and support for ongoing education and performance improvement is offered. This is a full-time hospital position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ultrasonography program and ARDMS/ARRT registry eligibility.
• Certification/Registration with ARRT or ARDMS is required.
• Advanced modality registration in Ultrasound preferred or within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound procedures and related techniques as directed.
• Explains procedures to patients and obtains consent when applicable.
• Ensures patient comfort, privacy and safety during procedures.
• Documents sonographer impressions and relays findings to physicians.
• Obtains and records images illustrating normal and pathological findings.
