Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health seeks an Ultrasound Technologist at Springfield Regional Medical Center to perform ultrasound procedures, document findings, and ensure compassionate patient care. You will work under Radiology leadership and contribute to quality imaging across patient ages, from newborns to geriatrics.

The role requires ARDMS/ARRT eligibility or certification, 1 year ultrasound experience preferred, and a commitment to ongoing professional development and patient safety.

Qualifications

• : Associates level ultrasound training preferred.
• : ARDMS/ARRT registry eligibility required or certification
• : Advanced modality registration preferred (within 2 years)
• : 1 year ultrasound tech experience preferred
• : Knowledge of ultrasound modalities and anatomy required

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound procedures and related techniques producing diagnostic images.
• Explains procedures to patients and records history/consent as applicable.
• Maintains patient comfort, privacy, and safety during exams.
• Documents sonographer impressions and relays findings to physician.
• Obtains and records images demonstrating normal and pathological findings.
• Participates in performance improvement projects and audits.
• Assists in student education and staff orientation.
• Uses multiple ultrasound modalities appropriate to anatomy scanned.
